Kinship=Stolga=Stephen and Olga. My two favorite designers and they didn’t disappoint! This was a collaboration for Pom Pom Magazine Fall 2020.

This shawl was a joy to knit and a joy to wear. It was a perfect COVID project for once you start knitting it you don’t want to stop. The mantra is one more row!

I put a safety pin on the right side. For some reason when I was beginning this project I was confused. The safety pin resolved the issue!

Carrying the yarn through the iCord was perfect. Be sure to stretch the edge as you go along so it doesn’t curl.

When you block the shawl the magic happens. Refer to fiona64’s blocking instructions. Fiona also has a link for the Icelandic bind off.

The yarn I used was from my favorite dyer Jorstad Creek. It is a merino/silk blend.

Section 6 (RS) I’m one stitch short. 353 instead of 354. After counting more that once I just did what Stephen does add another stitch. When I blocked it out pops the missing stitch from the iCord. So if you come up one stitch short check the iCord.

So ENJOYED this project.
