Another beautiful Tinna pattern. Even though I have other projects in progress, I can’t resist this one.
I plan to make a blanket (for me) using leftover yarn from my last project In Memory of Memaw, with the Old Lace color (cream color) as main color and some various blues of Catona as color B. The leftover Anthracite (grey) and the Saffron (a lovely gold) will be accents. The yarn picture shows the colors (too bigger skeins are leftovers) with the other color from the sampler pack I purchased a while back.
I’m entering one skein as a starting number for each color & skein- will adjust later. I’m not entering skeins from sampler kit yet. The list below shows starting skein numbers - if my orders get filled from the 3 places I ordered from - had to do that to find a source for #261, Capri Blue, the primary color I’ll use for color B. My friend Virginia gifted me 3 25- gram skeins (which is how I was introduced to this lovely color) but I needed much more!

Here’s my starting number of skeins - from stash plus gifted from Virginia:
- 130 Old Lace 11 100-gram skeins
- 501 Anthracite 9 50-gram skeins
- 261 Capri Blue 3 25-gram skeins
- 124 Ultramarine 2 25-gram skeins
And this list shows amounts on order:
- 261 Capri Blue 11 50-gram skeins
- 249 Saffron 3 50-gram skeins
- 247 Bluebird 4 50-gram skeins
- 201 Electric Blue 2 50-gram skeins
- 511 Cornflower 2 50-gram skeins
- 527 Midnight 2 50-gram skeins
- 510 Sky Blue 3 50-gram skeins
- 173 Bluebell 1 50-gram skein

Some misc calculations:
- 32 × 7 = 224; 224 + 15 + 1 = 240 starting chains
- 10 Fpdc uses approx 45 inches if yarn
- 10 sc uses approx 20 inches of yarn
- For butterfly bobbins, add 12 inches for tails, xx inches for carrying
- For filling small motifs with a different color: 14 sc + 8 dc, use 68 inch butterfly bobbin (extra for yarn ends & carrying)
- Fir filling tiny motifs: 3 sc + 2 dc = 24 inches - NEXT TIME ADD PADDING STITCHES
- My row gauge: 19 rows = 4 inches; that’s 4.75 rows per inch so for a length of 80 inches to 90 inches would be 380 to 427.5 rows.
- My plan: 1, 2, 5, 3, 4, 6, 4, 3a, 5, 2a, 1a

I’ve finished approximately 80 rows and ithe blanket measures 20 inches high. So if I continue to 400 rows that will be 100 inches high. The width is 50 inches. 50 × 100 is not a good proportion, so I need to adjust my design: 50 × 80 would be better, approx 320 rows.
Pattern 1 - 20 rows
Pattern 2 - 20 rows
Pattern 5 - 15 rows
Pattern 3 - 35 rows
Pattern 6 - 25 rows
Pattern 4 - 80 rows
Pattern 6 - 25 rows
Pattern 3A - 35 rows
Pattern 5 - 15 rows
Pattern 2 - 20 rows
Pattern 1A - 20 rows
310 rows - this is better

I’m hibernating this one today, because I haven’t worked on it in several months. So far it’s quite beautiful - but right now I have other project priorities.
