Notes

I’m going to do something a little different with this pattern. I’m going to use a bulky yarn and a bigger hook and make myself a throw. I considered doing a big square but I’ve done so many of those, including 1 just recently. Wasn’t sure I wanted to do the rectangle. I may drive myself crazy but I’m going to try to granny stripe it.

Update: finished! As usual, I chained too many (120) but didn’t realize it was too wide until I was a good 10 or so rows in. At that point I decided it would be a vertical striped blanket! At the end I even toyed with the idea of a fringe, but decided instead to do a border. So I did:

Navy: sc all the way around
White: dc all the way around
Gray: hdc all the way around

I usually finish with a sc border, but I really liked the way the hdc felt in the soft, bulky gray yarn. (The gray color feels a bit softer than the other shades to me.)

Perfect blanket for napping on my bed, so mission accomplished!
