Notes

Toe up sock. Judy magic cast on with larger needles to avoid mouse ears, 12 stitiches, increased on alternate rows with M1 left and right till 40. The toe is rounded.

Continuing in stocking stitch.
For gusset, increased to 32 stitches on sole stitches.
Followed this page for toe-up heel flap. This meant my first bit of flap was knit on 8 stitches and picked up 6 on each side, so the first flap was 12 rows.

It worked, my first heel flap. Thank you socknitters.com. You saved my socks. Ps knitters, you need to end flap with a purl row so that yarn is xoming from the right to continue knitting.
Carried on with stocking stitxh and did Knit Freedom’s double tricot bind off, but did a simple stitched hem instead of binding off. I like the feminine edging, not too sure about the double thickness. Am happy not to have a rib.
I ended up with a bit of wool and think i could have knitted them higher.
The heel flap isnt such a good fit now, but it might mould to my foot. All in all, quite pleased and absolutely love the colourway, that is why I knit.

These are my favourite socks. The heel did mould to my feet. I still love the picot edging. Perfect socks as they peek out over ankle boots and now need to knit a new pair.
