Notes

Winding some of Nathalie’s own yarn into a sweater qty fade. This is a proof of concept to see if this works and/or either of us like it.

Wound a 42yd ball from each color. While holding 3 strands together, holding both ends of hank and ball when all 3 were the same color, (per the graph) counted the “laps” the known 42yd ball lasted (19-20). Used that to determine when to change yarn when wasn’t using the 42yd balls. Used embroidery floss to secure held-triple hank each time a yarn was “finished” and started a new hank (without breaking yarn) so it didn’t get unmanageable. Twisted them up using a doorknob as an extra hand, so I could keep the attached yarn from getting twisted at the same time.
