When working a 2 color version, color in the starting chain uses slightly less yarn and is NOT the “petals” on top of the hat. I’ve indicated P or B with the row# if it was a Pink or Blue worked row. I choose to work first/last stitch in each row into both loops as a personal preference, it makes no visual difference to the finished hat, all other stitches into back loop as in La Mar pattern. These instructions are only for short-row crown instead of gathered crown, purchase of pattern is still required.
