If the hook and yardage seem microscopic for DK weight yarn. You aren’t crazy, I am. I convert all my scraps into fingering weight (for ease of using it together). This yarn was split in half (2 plies each) for an approximately fingering weight product. But once doubled (and all my other scraps) I’m heavy on brown and this color had the most yards, hence easiest to make something small out of it!

I make all the attached pieces first: ears, muzzle, tail, and arms. Then I work top down from head and sew on the parts before stuffing and while I still have access to the back of fabric. I really like this pattern, quick and clear with a very cute result.

I think next time I’ll notate exact stitches to attach pieces to, for future reference.
