This kit/pattern is so bad I went to the effort to add it to Ravelry just to warn others how bad it is. Then Ravelry removed all my notes to that effect!

there isn’t enough yarn of any color to make Scrump (even though that pattern is easy and accurate enough to be make-able)

there are abbreviations that aren’t on the “stitch definitions” page (and some included that are never used)

there are typos throughout (like dee frequently instead of dec) and missing bold formatting or carriage return for the next round.

the picture indicates that Stitch is bigger which is false, and Stitch’s pictured Right Ear isn’t what’s written

there is no errata nor old “library of patterns” on company site

included plastic tools were so rough they were unusable and immediately thrown away.

But the WORST part of this kit, is the claim that a child could lean how to crochet from it, which would be impossible in several different ways and instead of building confidence and love for the craft would do the opposite.

I worked Head, Arms, Legs & Right Ear according to pattern. The “nails” portion of the pattern is either so full of typos or undefined stitches that I couldn’t figure it out (also not a great photo). I did a few passes of Navy embroidery. My navy color was un-plied to simulate fingering weight, but probably wasn’t necessary as I didn’t end up crocheting at all with it. Body is mostly to pattern but worked neck down so I could continue directly from the Head (that’s a pretty normal change for me). Eye patches (MR, 6, 12, 18) are my own addition, as are safety eyes and nose embroidery (which would have been stickers from the kit). Left Ear is missing last 10 of 20 rounds, so I fudged it to use the first 9 rounds of pattern, then reversed the shaping of the Right Ear to end up with the same length.
