Night 1: finished section 1 (31 sts on needle). I wouldn’t say I have the pattern memorized but I’m starting to feel the rhythm and I can see what I’m doing! I think I’ll change colors when inspired, not according to pattern. Will try to keep accurate notes here.
Section 1:
Color A = Silk Garden No. 284
Color B = Silk Garden No. 8
Section 2:
Accidentally did the whole section with just rows 1-20 (the one-stitch bumps)
Color A = Silk Garden No. 284
Color C = Silk Garden No. 276
Section 3:
Color A = Silk Garden No. 284
Color D = Silk Garden No. 276 (switched to the other end of the skein)
Section 4:
Color A = Silk Garden No. 284
Color D = Silk Garden No. 276 (switched back to the other end of the skein again)

Nope nope nope, this is not the kind of project I need to keep colorway notes for! The repeat was fully memorized early on, I realized it doesn’t matter where I change colors, it all looks good. A free-for-all ensued! Now I’m just playing happily with Noro (5 different color ways).

I know I’m supposed to stop when we get to 191 sts, but seeing as I’m at 147 already, I might make this a little bigger. We shall see.

3 weeks after casting on and this is still just the most fun and relaxing, easy pattern to knit. I’m up to 181 sts and I still don’t think it’s going to be big enough! I can see myself knitting this again to use up scraps of things. There’s so many different looks you could get depending on when you switch up the yarn colors. Looks like I’m gonna use up almost (or all of) 7 skeins of Silk Garden total. I think the plan will be to keep going until the last of my contrast color for this section is gone (#8), then do the I-cord bind off with the last of my main color for this section (#267).

One month to the day since casting on, and I’m binding off! When I got to 191, it did feel big enough.
