All-lace Snow Angel:
• started Chart A after 19 stitches
• knitted Row 1 to 49 of Chart A
• went from Row 49 to Row 11 (omitted beads on Row 11)
• worked the remaining Chart A to Row 55
• worked Chart B - Lace Border
• worked Edge Rows 15 to 18
• did picot bind off

Used almost 500 yards so still leave a ball of 375 yards for another shawl!

410 Size 5 triangular Miyuki beads in Iris Lilac.

Blocked at 24” deep and 54” excluding crescent ends

Can’t wait to cast on. This is the second time I am casting on the beautiful Solstice Osiris pure silk fingering yarn. Was going to use it for Cobweb but decided to save it for a larger shawl since I have two skeins.

Decided to do an all-lace Snow Angel. I hope I figured out how to do it accurately!

The pale shimmering silk in greens, blues, yellows, and lavenders is perfect for spring. Thus my naming it Spring Meadow Angel.

Picked this up again after finally completed Cobweb as well as castes on the Lichtfaden Cashmere a Silk that took six weeks to travel from Germany to San Francisco (still can’t decide what it will be yet … Just working on the stocking stitch portion).

Decide to try an all-lace Snow Angel, think I got the pattern repeat figured out. ;)

Went from row 49 to row 11 (without bead) for the first pattern repeat on this all-lace Snow Angel. The transition is looking good.

Wore a pair of earrings made by my best bud, Stephanie, using my glass murrini chips (the little flower-like design in the glass bead) and thought the colors looked familiar. Turned out they matched the Osiris Magic Mirror yarn perfectly! Took a couple of pictures of them together. Can’t wait to finish this shawl to wear with the earrings! ;-)

Finished the repeat of rows 11 to 49, now need to make a decision to repeat once again or not (opted to move onto Chart B - Lace Border instead of another repeat). Looking through some of the project pages, it looks this shawl tends to be very long so I may just continue on to row 51 and do the lace border as well as the optional edge rows with picot bind off. This will also leave me enough yarn for another small shawl using this wonderful yarn!

It’s finished! Decided to go with the picot bo which took the entire weekend… but so worth it.

Solstice Osiris 100% Mulberry silk is a joy to knit with - it’s soft and actually has some elasticity, unlike most pure-silk yarn!
