Notes

Started this with a basic twisted cast on. Also dyed the yarn myself. I call it “Subtropical Pride” as kind of a nod to the area myself and my niece Bree are from, which is the subtropical area of Alabama along Gulf Coast and the LGBTQ+ community, for Bree. All the heart eyes for this!!

Also, this is NOT my swatch for this project!! Just seeing how the colors knit up to make sure there wasn’t total pooling going on. I think I like it!

FINISHED! Yay! Such an easy pattern to follow for this newb knitter. I have already started a second one and plan on making THREE more! I just have to dye up the custom color for the 4th, which is going to be a Coral gradient for my dear friend Melissa in Canada

I only did a minor mod for this pattern. I am very impatient and didn’t knit the body for the 11 inches, but rather for 8.75” before I split for the two sides on the front. Good thing my nieces are somewhat short and like a little more crop in their tops. Haha
