On a positive note, this yarn is so lovely and soft and Brian appreciates the gloves and they fit! I had to alter the number of stitches a bit to match my gauge.

On the other hand, I was going to make these all with the heather green yarn, but after the first glove, it was clear I didn’t have enough. So I bought a contrast color of a similar yarn and ripped back the first glove to add the stripe in the original pattern (making me wonder if the original designer had the same problem). Then came lots of frustration as I tried to make two gloves that looked the same as the green yarn diminished to the point that I had about two feet left at the end. There is a slight difference in the number of rows in the stripe on the gloves.

I need some system for weighing my swatch and comparing it to the yarn to see if I have enough!
