started with 3 stitches…ended the flowerpattern today at 712 stitches!

06/07/2013:
20 rows left of my extended flower-pattern.
meanwhile i began the embroidery…flowers get more and more depth.

gosh! … i have to add more rows/flowers!
wondering about the “pattern”.
i finished all the 280 rows of pattern…and with 0,95 m its far away from the recommended 1,42 m finished height (including a 10 row border on each side).
my gauge: 28 stitches x 30 rows = 10 cm2

only 40 rows of the flower-pattern left!
wondering about the dimensions…
in some notes i found 3,00 x 1,70 meters
the pattern says: 2,70 x 1,40 meters
right now i have 83 cm…

80 rows of the flowerpattern left.

05/09/2013:
two weeks ago, i decided to transfer christels paper-pattern, thats…altough it’s printend on A3-paper…so small, that i couldn’t read while knitting. today i finished ‘my’ excel-sheet. also i assembled some more flowers on the right side of pattern, that has in original a diverse intenseness of the left.
130 rows left…and the shawl expands with every row.

met christel seyfrath at a workshop at ‘achterpand’ in groningen/ netherlands. first saw her presentation, heard about her way to become a knit-designer, a photo with her and s.o. of the kaffe fassett-collective approved my instinct why i love her colourwork too. :-)
’learned’ how to ease colour-choosing, how she is doing her designs and patterns, “350 stitches will allways give a good start for whatever you knit!”
she gave me reason to unravel my first part of the shawl. i knitted it a bit toooo tight.
had a great afternoon with all the friendly dutch knitters there. thanks a lot for beeing so openminded.
