The i-cord straps are pretty but I need more coverage for my bra straps so I knit modified straps, otherwise I knit according to the pattern.

15.04.2025 Glad that knitting stockinette feels fine at the moment. But I have only 18 cm done. Knitting other stuff as well.
21.04.2025 I just measured my knit: 48cm.
27.04.2025 I finished the top of the dress. I blocked the tube before making the pleats and then joined the ends together. That was not as easy for me as I thought. And I thought it would be a lot easier to just bind off the ends of the tube and then make the pleats sewing the ends together! (73g)
Picked up stitches according to pattern although I had more rounds due to my yarn. Started with 3.25mm needles.
29.04.2025 I need to make my skirt shorter so I decided to do the 1st increase round now that I have 6 cm of stockinette on my needles. (not bored yet )
30.04.2025 10.5 cm of skirt done with 2 balls of yarn.
04.05.2025 Picked up this project after a few days of working on other stuff. Now I have about 16 cm from underarm.
07.05.2025 I made the 2nd increase round at 22 cm. It’s difficult to know where to make them. ( I don’t want the hem too long!)
15.05.2025 Still working on the 3rd part. I have 17 cm done.
23.05.2025 I made the last / 4th increase round! I’m planning to knit stockinette maybe 10-14 cm before the lace insert.
05.06.2025 I started the hem lace.
17.06.2025 I have been knitting the lace but there’s still 7 rounds to do. (so far used 6 cakes of coast )
19.06.2025 I have finished the hem ribbing and bound off. So far I have used 6.2 cakes/ 311g of yarn 2170m (Coast). The skirt is about 76 cm from underarm before blocking.(+ 17 cm top)
22.06.2025 My straps are different from the pattern. I made them with double yarn to make them sturdier. I cast on 13 sts and made double knitted straps to cover the bra straps. (They took about 24g.)
