I used the Sesame Street Hats pattern by Michelle Kaul as my original idea, but since I only had sport weight yarn in yellow, I had to look for a new beanie pattern. I used the Operation Beanie Crochet Pattern which you can download here.

Round 1 -3 of hat pattern, then do 3 rounds of dc.
Round 4 from pattern then 4 rounds of dc.
Then 6 rounds of dc.
1 round of sc. Finish.

I used worsted weight for all facial features except the ears. Small bits of white, orange and black. The ears were in the sport weight.

The ears were 3 rows of the semi-circle pattern.
