I chose one size larger and dropped the needle size from the suggested size 7 to size 6. This gave me the exact size 37” I was looking for but better stitch definition.

I swatched with the size 7 needles and found the stitch a bit puffy so experiemented with the size 6 and loved it but needed to go up a size with the smaller needles or it would have been too small.

Be sure to do the Twisted Rib collar because it is beautiful and quite easy to pick up.

Because the collar tends to drop off my shoulders, I would probably decrease the needle size of the collar from a 6 at the beginning and down to a 5 half-way through if I did it again.

This is a fun-to-knit, easy project that you can do in one week. Makes a great gift and comes in beautiful colors.
