Started with White for center and chain/v-stitch rows. Did 3 rounds of 6 colors for shell rows, and finished with white shell row for border. Used less than one ball of each color, and just into 2nd white ball for last chain row and border.

I stitch loosely so had to consciously stitch tighter to keep it from wobbling.

Finished size 31 x 31.

7-27-15: Won Blue Ribbon at County Fair!

9-15-15: This blanket is going to a newborn baby girl, so I decided to continue the border by adding 1 set of white chain/shell, then 1 set of the pink (center color) chain/shell, then 2 sets of white chain/shell. Finished off by making a little bow and attaching in a corner to the pink “ribbon” (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/applique-ribbon-bow).

(NOTE: the amount of additional yarn used for the border IS NOT included in the amounts above)

Finished size with “lace” border and “ribbon” 36 x 36.
