Notes

Disappointed in how little contrast there is between the two colors, but this is my second attempt, the first being pink and green, which ended up graying the two colors.

See notes for my other potholders to see how to do double knitting effectively. I did stop using the little plastic thing for my finger to separate the strands and instead held the yarn as pictured, the top picture being for a knit, bottom for a purl. Basically I’m using my middle finger to separate the two yarns.

Purling (both strands) the last stitch and slipping the first stitch (both strands) in every row made for a really nice border.

I made fewer mistakes on this potholder and I think it’s because I would say the forground (knit) color of the stitch for that stitch and for the purl (opposite color which will appear on the other side). This prevented me from doing the stitch for the other side in the wrong color.
