General Tips
I used this video to see how to do the loop cast-on. Started with a knit, as indicated in the pattern, instead of a YO, as shown in the video.

Put a marker on the right side of row 3 so I would always know if I was doing an odd or even row. Plus, I did a lot of counting to verify I was on track.

Tips for Charts A and B
With the pattern in Charts A and B, it helps to be aware that the ktbl is always in the stitch above the YO two rows below. Easier to know you’re correctly in the pattern if you check each time you do a ktbl.

After Chart C
Don’t forget to go back to the written instructions for the Upper Triangle, where there is an I-cord bind-off following the completion of Chart C. Going forward makes no sense without this step, and I was going to forget it because I was just going to go to the next step in the pattern as they appear on the pages instead of going back a few pages to this step. I’ve penciled in a note in my paper copy.

I put markers around each repeat in Chart B. I was doing fine until row 9, when the pieces around the repeats had one too many and one too few stitches. I sat for at least an hour trying to figure out my mistake and finally it dawned on me that the marker needs to shift one stitch to the right on that row. For the other rows in this chart, the markers stay in the same position as in the previous row. This happens in other rows later in the pattern, always, I think, when there’s a k2psso at the end of the section.

Purl Through Back of Loop

I found the easiest and quickest way to do these is to put the right needle through the back of the loop and off the left needle and then put back on with the back of the loop now being in front. Then purl as usual.

Bind Off
I was really annoyed that I had to work so hard to find how exactly how to do the bind off. The instructions just say which stitches to do while doing a “stretchy bind off”. Well, there are a lot of stretchy bind off links - which one is it? And how exactly do you incorporate the indicated stitches into it. There is an Instagram video that Romi posted in the Rose City Yarn Crawl group, but a lot of people, including me, find it too fast to really be confident of what to do and it’s not clear that those without an Instagram account can see it. But one lovely person did write out exact instructions in this post. Why couldn’t Romi have a link to the video in the pattern AND the written instructions that didn’t just say do this while you do the stretchy bind off? I printed the above post out and am keeping it with the pattern so I will know how to bind off if I make this again.
