Straight Thesis and Playful Antithesis:
Plain front with a neat and professional looking neckline and sleek double cuffs contrast with a playful pattern at the back.
The pattern creates a slight A-line and a longer back ensures a flattering shape.
Pattern details:
The Lancia Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down.
The back neckline and shoulders are shaped with short rows, then stitches are picked up and the front shoulders shaped. After picking up a few stitches for the sleeves, the upper shoulder part including the sleeve caps is worked. The neckline is finished, joined in the round, and the Lancia pattern will be started at the back.
The back pattern will create the A-line shaping automatically, additional I worked a slight tailoring at the fronts
The hem is slightly shaped for a flattering longer bottom.
The sleeves are worked in the round
Using a very easy technique, no stitches need to be picked up for the double hems.
