I modified this basket a little to suit the yarn I had on hand, doing a reverse crochet border on the top, but I really enjoyed learning the cable stitch and I’d be happy to do the pattern as written someday with different yarn. This was also my first attempt at blocking. It came out really wiggly and wonky, but I knew there was something pretty in there if only I could stretch it and steam it into submission!
