Once I got the hang of slip stitch, it’s pretty fun & goes faster than I thought it would. I messed up my first try at the linked-in cables, but after I frogged that I understood how I goofed, so smooth sailing again.

I added 10 stitches at the top edge to have the mitts come further down my fingers. Almost wishing I had added 15. Once they’re done I may add rows at the top.

1st mitt (right) nearly done, just need to finish the seam. I had to add 6 rows and I’m still afraid it may be too snug, we’ll see. The slip stitch is really fast & fun once you get the hang of it. The seam is a bear, but I think I have that figured out now too.

The colors of this yarn make me think of my favorite flavor of Nerds candy!

Had to add many rows (mirrored short rows w/ 6 full rows between the sets of short rows, then 8 full rows after final short row)but they finally fit! And once I figured out the seam, it really is beautiful & invisible - well worth the extra effort. Used exactly one ball - less than 1yd left after seaming. Can’t wait to wear them to work.

I love my mitts! In hindsight if I could change one thing, I would have started mitt 2 from the outside of the ball, instead of picking up from cutting mitt 1’s thread. Then my color progression would have mirror imaged on my hands instead of being the same.
