20.06.21: five days before a friend’s birthday I realised this year was her 50th (no-one is shouting about them during lockdown as ways to celebrate are minimal). Eek! Rifled through my stash for something pink and luckily all I had was in a chunky yarn that I’d bought specifically for this pattern.

To get the width I wanted (15cm) I cast on 30 stitches for 3 repeats of the pattern which I tweaked slightly:
K4, K2tog, K3, kfb.

24.06.21: after watching a lot of telly and working slightly (ahem) after midnight, I finished the last few rows at lunchtime today and popped this in the post. I’m used to knitting with pure merino and this felt slightly scratchy on my neck, but I didn’t have time to wash it to see if it would soften plus it didn’t need blocking.

Final measurements 15cm X 172cm.

I love how easy the pattern is and how quickly it grows, I’ll definitely be making one for myself but in a softer yarn. It was a good palate cleanser between finishing off two projects that I’m dragging my heels on.
