I added a strand of silver thread with the purple yarn to give it some twinkle and shine, which I thought an 8yo girl might like. I also made the ribbing 3” in length before I started cabling so that the hat has a turned up cuff/brim on it. I think it looks grown up but still girly. Hope she likes it.
