The Monkadoodle picked this yarn out for himself during one of our trips to the store and would not turn loose of it. He specifically asked for a hat and he was just so cute about it that I could not say no.

The hat ended up bigger than I was going for as well. That’s what I get for not checking gage first. Oh well, Monkadoodle will be able to were it for a long time as he grows.

I had never knitted with this yarn but given that it is a bulky weight and kind of fuzzy, the stitch definition is not great so I stuck with basic 2X2 ribbing and stock stitch. It is not as tight a weave as I normally achieve thus the hat is not as stretchy as I had hoped. However, this yarn is almost like a boucle so my hopes for more stretch were unrealistic. I may try this yarn again though not for a hat. It would be good for a sweater though and I love the subtle color shifts.
