This is my protype. I originally knit the entire purchased pattern. But then I made modifications (the first time I have ever “winged” knitting). The body cables section is from the original pattern. But I felt it needed a more substantial button tab and I didn’t care for the drape resulting from the original decrease pattern.

I slipped the first stitch and purled the last on every row. I added a real buttonhole and tried a picot finish. I redesigned the tab patten, but don’t quite love it yet. I thought the towel might come out too small so I increased needle size (too much), which makes it a little too heavy to be practical. Overall I like the finished idea, but I will be making some tweaks on the next one.
