Pattern well written. Will be a comfy warm sweater. It’s a fast knit. It took me a long time because i was fussy about the fit and then had a big break between completing the knitting, tying ends in and blocking…got distracted by other knitting projects….I did tailor the sweater, largely with gauge to make it slim enough, and a couple extra rows on the cuffs because he likes a larger cuff. He was very involved in the process, evaluating patterns I came up with to meet his description, selecting the yarn, and putting up with fittings. Very pleased with how it came out.

This pattern is hard to find, but one can still be purchased via the Yarn Connection in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I was just there yesterday and requested permission from the shop owner to post this information.

Discoloration of the sweater in the outdoor shots is from a camera lens blemish. This is my second sweater ever. The sweater took Best of Show in Hand Knit Adult Clothing at the Eastern Idaho State Fair 2015. Very happy to have made a best of show sweater for my blue ribbon husband. :-)

I found out today that the designer of this pattern (Barbara Selesnick) died on April 9th, 2018. Honestly, it’s a great pattern. I found that it is for sale online, but i do not know who is selling it or if they have permission to do so. My pattern is her original with copious handwritten notes including row by row interpretations of some of the directions. I plan on hanging on to it until I can find out how, if possible, I can make it available. It would be a shame for this pattern to be “lost” forever.
