This is the follow-up to my Basiita Beanie: Salaam version, here using a square-kufic Arabic medallion that reads “Malcolm X”. The logo this is derived from stems from a project that our Beirut-based artists’ collective completed a few years ago: Malcolm X Returns. The free pattern was uploaded on February 15th to commemorate the anniversary of X’s death, which is February 21st.
