Beanie - Very easy and fast knit, I love it! Perfect with my extended showl. S/F 3/13
CO 84 stitches on size 6 needle (used the 14g leftover from my showl), knit in 2x2 ribbing on size 5 needles for 2”. Switched to size 7 needles and followed pattern for 7”, worked decrease section. Used 50 grams.

Boot Cuffs - CO 44 stitches on size 11 needles, switch to size 10 1/2’s and knit in 2x2 ribbing for 2 1/2”. Mimicked the garter stitch section of the panel in my beanie by working the first third of the stitches in garter stitch (15 stitches).

• Knit one round, increase 1 stitch at end of round
• Purl 15 stitches, PM, knit around
• Knit row
• Repeat 10 times Finish with 4 rounds of 2x2 ribbing, BO in pattern.

Note: I’m trying to knit these with the maximum amount of the cranberry color showing when I’m wearing them; first one started with a solid color, I did the 4 rows of ribbing, knit the body then the 2” of ribbing (basically top down). After making the two mitts, the second boot cuff is turning out the same. Yay!

Mitts - CO 28 stitches onto size 8’s, switch to 7’s and knit in 2x2 ribbing for 2”. Put a 9 stitch garter section in to match the beanie and boot cuffs. Picked up 5 stitches for thumb (total of 12 after I knit the first stitch to the 9th off the holder and the 5th stitch to the first stitch off the holder). Worked 6 rows in stockinette and 3 rows in 2x2 ribbing, BO in pattern.
