Cowl - CO 4 stitches and tried to follow the instructions for the I-cord cast on. After 5 or 6 tries I gave up and CO 58 stitches, knit 5 rows, purled one row and continued in pattern. (I’m doing this, watching TV and keeping an eye on our 7-mo old puppy. I went back and actually read the pattern, I was knitting in the front and back of all 4 stitches rather than actually making an I-cord.) My rolled edge turned out great, had plenty of yarn so I knit last section for 20 rows, added 4 garter ridges and BO using a suspended BO and a size 15 needle. Still feels a bit tight but hopefully will block out some. I really like this pattern, may have to make myself one. Started 9/11, finished 9/17. Used 113 grams.

Hat - CO 81 stitches onto a size 8 needle, change to size 7’s and knit 6 rows, purl one row (to stop the rolled edge from going any farther) and continue knitting til hat reaches 7” from purl row. Decrease to pattern. I love this! Perfect pattern for this yarn! I knit this one a bit longer than my first one, even better! Used 68 grms of yarn. (Hat pattern is available on the Lion Brand website.) Started 9/13, finished 9/17.
