Testknit for Jennifer Beale.
gauge ndl 3,5mm: 26x31 = 10x10cm.
This i will use for needlesize B: the stranded colourwork. i still knit size 4, should give me about 12cm positive ease.
For needlesize A i will use 3mm.
I changed some colours since browns make me look dead(ish):
A: Scourie for sleeves and purple peerie
A: Assynt in yellow peerie
B: Cape Wrath
C: Knockan Crag
D: Sutherland Skies
E: Sutherland Skies
F: a Wee Dram
G ->O: same as pattern
When i came to the welt i got stuck. I could not find my navy blue purl bumps, so i just sewed the welt down in the spots where the purl bumps approx. were. Worked fine
Sleeves:
For the 7 - 5 stitch i added 2 yo’s on the purl row below it (in the correct spots) and knitted the purl stitches real loose.
These 2 tweaks made a multiple k7tog quite enjoyable.
For the hem you need to pick up loads of stitches and then an i-cord bindoff. I did not do it. Next time i would do a provisonal cast on..so you do not have to pick up those stitches if i do want an i-cord hem.
I did the sleeves flat and when the fair isle started i went back to knitting in the round.
This was another fun knit. i love this jumper already.
