I really had trouble with the first rows.. somehow i just didn’t get it. So i modified a bit.

• Start with 3 stitches.
• knit some rows according to instructions
• check the picture ‘how it should look’ on page 7’
• after some rows i cast on 7 steek-stitches (i like steeks in ‘rows’ and not in ‘checkerboard’). I went back and forth until i had some ‘body’ to be able to knit in the round at least a bit comfortable ;-).
• Follow pattern.

I just caught flows except for the long white pieces. There i used the ladderback technique. First time ever, but i love it. Will use that more often. The green doesnt show trough the white at all that way.

The purple i embroidered on later. The flowers were too far apart for stranded knitting and i do not like doing intarsia.
