Yay! He loved it!

This hat is a replacement for the hat I knit him last year, which was lost this spring when he dived head first into a snow drift.

I cast on 160 stitches in CC (multi), knit pattern upside down and knitted one row purl in CC, switched to 2.5mm needles and MC (black), knitted until same height as pattern, turned knitting direction and knitted the cast on edge and MC yarn together on 3mm needle.

My mother was Shanghaied into being a model, so I could take some snaps before wrapping it.
