2/2/11--so excited to finally start this! I had to redo the setup row three times before I got it right, but it is finally right.

2/10/11--so, I was about 10” into the body, I was worried it was going to be too big. I put it on two (circ) needles and wrapped it around me. Yep, very big. So, I ripped back to a little past the ribbing, (which I knit 4” instead of 6”) so I could add some waist shaping. I thought about just starting over in the smaller size, but I think 36” would be too small for my hips. So, my plan is to decrease 16 stitches (4 decrease rows, -4 stitches per row). Then do 3 increase rows (add back 12 stitches). I’m doing the decreases (and increases) one stitch from the cable/lace panels.

2/26/11--blocked the finished body and seamed up the shoulders today. I am ridiculously proud of my seams. I’m not good at seaming and I am trying to improve my skill. I’m proud that I didn’t put it off forever and that it actually looks pretty good. Now to the sleeves, which I plan to knit from the topdown with short row caps, following the directions in Custom Knits.

3/12/11--knitting’s all finished, blocking now. I just have to sew on the buttons.

3/31/11--I FINALLY got the buttons sewed on this thing. I have serious button phobia. Pictures soon.

4/2/11--this was really fun to knit and I think I will wear it a lot, just not right now. It’s too hot already.
