Using Magic Loop for this project on a 32” circular - it’s a much nicer way to knit a hat instead of on a 16” circular. I can see the stitches better when they are not so bunched up and you can access the size of the hat as you knit when you use Magic Loop.

Making this in Berocco Vintage, which is made in Peru, because the baby’s mother is from Peru and I thought she would like that. The Vintage is nice and soft and is machine washable. After I finished the hat, I gave it a little soak and the stitches relaxed so nicely.

Cast on 64 for the smaller size.

Really fast knit - you can knit this in about 2 hours. Pattern is well written.
