I like this pattern, but the edge of the hat curls badly, even after blocking. I’m adding a lining and I think that might help. I’m just picking up stitches all around and winging it.

Didn’t add a pom pom yet. Trying to decide if my nephew would like one or if that’s too girly.

Add the lining solved the problem of the edge of the hat curling. The lining is a really nice touch.

Great pattern - can’t wait to give it to my nephew.
