Finally getting this blocked in preparation for gifting tomorrow. I totally understand why there are so few full-view photos of this shawl on others’ project pages: this is HUGE! Nearly 9’ from point to point! That’s it blocking on my king-size bed. Really really lovely though!

There was some bleeding of the black yarn when knitting so I soaked in a vinegar bath before blocking.

Doing a gentle no-pin block on this. Basically stretching the lace but leaving the Garter normal. It will stretch enough on its own just being worn. After laying out the shawl I pulled the lace and pinched back in the Garter sections.
