Notes

Thank you Ambah for this wonderful test! I can´t express how much I enjoyed knitting this wrap and the color combination is very funny :)

Since this wrap is for my sister I´m only knitting with Malabrigo, her favourite yarn :)
I loved Ambah´s color choices, but my sister is mainly wearing black and white, so I wanted her to wear a bit of color. The eggplant had of course to be the dominant color here.
I´m loving the eggplant together with light of love…such a powerful combination….my skeins in eggplant and light of love are on my way and I´ll knit a cardigan with them for me <3

Skeins weight:
99g Eggplant
100g Natural
100g Light of Love

Here´s my yarn usage, in case you´re going to knit a solid lace and a solid garter part but the garter part in leftovers. Or solid lace with a variegated yarn for the whole stripes part….yummy…so many different variations with this beautiful pattern :)

Yarn usage for each part:
Eggplant 19 - 15 - 17 - 17 - 16 (68g used)
Light of Love 19 - 17 - 17 - 19 (72g used)
Natural 17 - 18 - 18 - 19 (72g used)
(Total usage is 212g)

It´s funny that each lace and stripe section is the same, but took different yarn weights for it. Maybe because of the hot weather and the humidity here?

The pattern:
Ambah writes wonderful patterns, easy to knit but with a wow outcome. The stripes are mindless but not boring because of the color changes. The lace is simple. The wrong rows are rest rows, except for the triple yarnover, where you have to purl the middle yarnover, but hey that´s spicing up the knit knit knit knit knit and again knit row :)
I´ve put a marker for every second lace repeat, that way I knew when I forgot a yarnover. I even was knitting the lace while driving in bus and metro, because the lace was easy to knit with the markers.

I can only highly recommend this pattern! Every non-knitter asked me how I managed to make the wrap angled but still rectangular. And they wondered how knitting improved. One woman told me that this is so not old fashioned :)

With three skeins of malabrigo and the squishy garter this came out very warm and soft. I haven´t blocked mine much. I wanted it to still be squishy and warm for the winter :)

The finished size is:
157cmx32,5cm
61,5inchx13inch
