These hearts are made primarily from Cascade 220 held single for smaller hearts and doubled for medium to large hearts. Needle size depended on yarn thickness - as small as 7 & 8 and as large as 10. Other feltable yarns were used. The embroidery was done with the same yarns after felting. A very useful site for embroidery stitches and videos is Mary Corbet’s site. These hearts are fast and fun and a good lesson in wrap & turn and picking up wraps. And felting melts away imperfections for a very happy successful project!
