This was designed and made specifically for one of my sister-in-laws. I remember in the past she had mentioned elephants are her favorite animal. She also enjoys receiving my handmade baskets as gifts, so I made a hybrid of the two.

For this version I used single crochet stitches for the outer area of basket, instead of the textured look using Hdc stitches.
