I’m thrilled with how lovely this yarn is to knit with - and it’s working really well with this Yuglet hat that I’ve knitted before in J&S jumper weight Shetland.
The yarn has a lot of ‘bounce’ so I’ve gone down a needle size from 3mm to 2.75mm to give the same tension.

The way I’ve used the colours is inspired by ‘Millefleurs’ style tapestries, especially the Lady and the Unicorn that I’ve seen at the Cluny. The colours are so much brighter when you see the actual tapestry, but there is a richness and depth to the colours that brings it altogether. The Devonshire Hunting Tapestries that can be seen at the V&A in London are another of my favourites of this type of tapestry.

Finished the hat, so just blocking and it should be ready to wear tomorrow. I like quite a tight brim so the brim is relaxed under the rim of the blocking bowl in the photo
