Notes

Trying size 0 needle as my socks on size 1 run a little big. Also trying different heel. Love a heel flap but those heels are too big for my feet.

Cast on 64 sts with heel/toe yarn. Work 12 rows of K2P2 ribbing. Join main yarn, continue for 5 rows in ribbing. Work leg in stockinette until 8” total. Start garter stitch short row heel with heel/toe yarn on center 38 sts, down to 8 sts. After finishing heel, continue with main yarn until foot is 8.75”. Attach heel/toe yarn and decrease 4 sts every other round until 24 sts remain. Kitchener toe shut.

I like the tighter gauge on the sz 0 needles, but the socks may be a little too snug. A couple of washings will tell. Heel fits much better. Probably will add 4 or 6 sts to next pair of socks and may try heel on just half the stitches.

Yarn is nice and soft. Perfect MCN. The dye job is mediocre though.

Socks fit better after a soaking. Little tight in the instep due to lack of gusset. Add 4 sts onto next pair for comparison.
