Need a break from my Chair “ jumper “, so starting on something to wear. My first chart pattern.

Took me 2 hours of not enough stitches to finish a row, to realise Yarn Forward and knit were 2 stitches and not 1 !!! (and yes I kept repeating the same thing hoping for a different result for the whole of those 2 hours)

Thursday 6th- had to unravel 17 rows . Read a stitch wrong on alternate rows, and it looked like carnage!

Front and back now finished.
First sleeve is taking FOREVER purling 3 together is killing my thumb, too

18.03.14 Just started making it up and realised, the arms are way too chunky for me. I look a lot like a Michelin Man……and the arms took ages. Going to have a think for a couple of days, and maybe redo the arms in another flatter stitch. A little gutted I was planning to wear this on Thursday :0(

New sleeve design started. Simpler and flatter. Didn’t want them totally plain , so added spiral that looks a cross between front spiral and side design from the front. Worried about easing in the sleeve when it’s finished as I’ve used less stitches…. I’ll know in a couple of hours I guess!

22.03.14 just finished , and over the moon with how it has turned out. Really pleased with the changes to the sleeve too. Learnt so much doing this and my confidence has soared.
