Notes

Knitting this hat for my husband to match his new winter coat. I was inspired by Trin-Annelie’s version of the hat. Love the colors!

Probably should have knit a gauge swatch as my hat turned out HUGE! Next one I make, I think I will use sport weight yarn and smaller needles.

I successfully shrank the hat in the dryer as follows…
-Soaked hat in Eucalan wash for 20 minutes
-Gently squeezed most of water from hat
-Placed in dryer set to med/high heat along with a dry towel
-Ran dryer in 5 minute increments, checking hat for size
-Once the hat was the desired size, I had my husband wear it until it dried.
-Now, it fits like a glove. And, he couldn’t be happier!

This hat is only my second colorwork project. My first being my Lodgepole Hat. I am hooked! Such a fun way to add dimension to your knitting. Can’t wait to cast on my next stranded colorwork project!
