Notes

Fun, easy hat. While I love the colors of the Noro Taiyo, I am not a fan of knitting with cotton. It’s rather sticky on the needles, if you know what I mean. And, it tends to break if you pull it too hard (Eeek!).

Cast on 88 stitches, as other knitters had said the pattern ran small. Did k2 x p2 ribbing for 2” on size US#8 needles. Then switched to US#9 for hat body. Placed a stitch marker before each YO to help me keep track of where I was in the stitch pattern.

Modeled by my 9 year old son. (Way too big for him, but I needed a round head for the photo shoot and his fit the bill ; )

My gauge was 4 stitches/inch.

Notes for next time…

-Cast on 80 (vs. 88) stitches as hat turned out large (Probably a Men’s Large)
