5/12/12
FINISHED! I had to redo the cast off edge as it was too tight. Second time round I used a 4mm needle and a k2tog cast off method and it’s perfect now. The cat was a little too interested in my modelling, so I’ll need to make sure he doesn’t come near me when I’m wearing it. I have 75g of the 5th skein of Ethereal (Disc.) remaining. Just enough for a small accessory of some sort I think!

22/10/12
Second sleeve completed, all pocket and side increases complete. 3 whole skeins of yarn have now been used.
I’m going to work the pockets before doing the final 10” of body.

2/9/12
I’ve nearly completed the first sleeve (I’m knitting sleeves before body as it will be easier to turn the work since it’s lighter). I’ve not worked on it for a while as I was busy with other projects. This is back near the top of the queue for now, so hopefully I’ll crack on through it!

18/4/12
My knitting is getting faster as I practise holding the yarn in my left hand. It’s starting to feel quite natural. I’ve split off the sleeves and have started the pocket increases.

9/4/12
I’ve barely been knitting as I’ve got RSI in my right forefinger, but I’ve finally started practising holding the yarn in my left hand, and now I’m back to making progress. This is a great project for learning another knitting style as it’s just knitting round and round and round!

I’m knitting this to a slightly different tension: 28 sts to 10cm. This means that the third size will come out at my intended bust size.

I plan to modify the pocket placement ever so slightly. Looking at finished project, it seems to me that if the top of the pocket looks as wide as (or wider than) the nipple to nipple distance, it looks a lot less sleek. I think it looks most flattering when the pocket is narrower than the bust at the top. This creates a slimming illusion, so I intend to try to fiddle with it to get this effect!
