Cast on 68 stitches in brown.

Worked a 1x1 ribbing for a 4 rounds.

K 2 rounds in pink (holding 2 strands of the pink together to match the bulk of the brown).

Next round, K1 brown, K1 pink (repeat).

K 2 rounds in pink.

K 1 round in brown.

Then repeat striping sequence.

For the crown, I divided the stitches into 4 even groups of 17 stitches.

In each group staying in color sequence above, I k2 tog, k til last 2, SSK.

Then made a pompom out of the pink.

Both yarns shed considerably, but the Debbie Bliss shed more. Grrrr. Still this is one of the softest hats I’ve ever made.
