After receiving a properly shaming (and rather funny) voice mail, I hunted through my stash to find the right yarn to start Stephanie’s Christmas present.

We will have semi-matching projects in both color and pattern.

According to the pattern, I should have 5 grams left … woo hoo!

I will not be posting many pics until after Christmas as this is a gift for my beloved lumierelanuit who occasionally stalks my projects page.

10/27/2011: Finished Clues 1 & 2, starting clue 3C even though I really wanted to do B but I don’t want to run out of yarn.

10/30/2011: Muahahah! Decided to screw with fate and worked clue 3B anyway. Need to finish the last 2 rows of this then decide on clue 4. I’m behind, but I will finish before Christmas!!! I am quite determined.

11/2/2011: Definitely going with 4A.

11/06/2011: Almost done with clue 4A - will post pics soon.

11/07/2011: Completed clue 4A, now to choose a clue 5…

11/13/2011: Hrm, not in love with clue B and I think I messed up a row. Froggin 9 row and starting over with clue C.

12/11/2011: Finished clue 5 … now to choose clue 6.

12/28/2011: frogged what I had done of clue 6 since i forgot to record which option i choose. And now my counts are thoroughly off. How is that possible with a lifeline??

12/30/2011: Recounted, have the right number of stitches and carried on with clue 6B. Have finished 3 rows and the lace pattern looks to be aligning beautifully. Will see when the pattern is done.

1/15/2012: Finished row 14 of clue 6. The end is nigh! the end is nigh!

1/30/2012: Finished the 4 set up rows of clue 7 and thanks to 4.5 hours of in-flight knitting, I’m over halfway thru the second row of clue 7. So so so close to done.

3/21/2012: Binding off … have been binding off for hours and hours it seems. But it looks so beautiful!!!! 90ish more stitches to bind off then I can soak, block and post to Vermont in time for ya know, summer…

3/22/2012: Finished the bind off and wove in the ends! It’s so pretty. I love the ruffle…will soak and block tonight.
