Using a DK weight, though it’s on the fine side of DK, and 3.5mm pins.

Mods:
To make this smaller,
cast on 27
k1, y/o, k12, y/o, k1, y/o, k12, y/o, k1
…etc until there are 4 st before the first y/o
Then k 6 rows instead of 8,
Then k 25, k2tog…
as pattern…
Then k 19, k2tog on the last dec round.
Also made the strap a bit longer, cast on 14 st.

Took less than an hour to knit the pair.
