25/9/13 Finished this one with no wool to spare. Did a provisional cast on for the sleeves and added them at the end to see how much wool I had left for them, worked well (though should have just knitted it top down of course). The neck and sleeve edge is two rows purl then cast off knit wise. Ended up with just 4 short rows to increase the depth at the back neck, more than enough as it turned out. Very happy with this.

10/9/13 Attributing this to the Owls pattern by Kate Davies because that’s what I’m using as a base, but going to add stripes, a lower neck and short row shaping. And no owls. Making from stash wool, not enough of any one colour for a single project so this is an exercise in using up some lovely wool. Liking the stripes. Knitting the cushion for my mum’s Christmas at same time so might take a wee while to finish this jumper.
